Join Chef Castro & other foodies as we explore the art of cooking. From beginners to advanced cooks, we have a class for everyone.
Chef Castro is excited to welcome you into his kitchen and to share his tips, tricks and tools of the trade throughout the interactive
experience.
During the cooking class, you will learn to prepare and cook a delicious appetizer and main course, and then, Chef Castro will end the
night on a sweet note by serving the dessert course.
Pricing
$125 per person

Canapes to nibble on while prepping
All the ingredients required for the class
Interactive cooking class that will take approximately 2-3 hours
1 hour to enjoy the dishes you've prepared
Recipe handouts, from the HOB Fine Foods kitchen, for every participant
PRIVATE COOKING CLASSES
Are you looking for a memorable way to host a business, staff or family event?
Chef Castro invites you and your guests to join him for a night of cooking and great conversation.
At the cooking class, Chef Castro will provide an interactive demonstration for two courses and you and your guests will get to
experience cooking new, delicious dishes. Canapes will be served throughout the class and we’ll end the night with dessert, freshly
baked from the HOB Fine Foods kitchen.
Our classes are perfect for team building exercise, birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, wedding rehearsals, or a fun night out
with friends!
Pricing
$125 per person (Minimum 8 guests, maximum 10 guest)
Subject to an 18% service fee & 5% gst
Wine pairings are also available for an additional charge.
Classes Include:
-Canapes to nibble on while prepping
-All ingredients required for the class
-Interactive cooking class that will take approximately 2-3 hours
-1 hour to enjoy the dishes you've prepared and connect with your friends or colleagues
-Recipe handouts, from the HOB Fine Foods kitchen, for every participant
-Use of aprons and dish towels for every participant

COOKING CLASS REGISTRATION POLICY
Guests can register online for Cooking Class Events up to 72 hours prior to the dinner, and after that time online registration will be closed but tickets might be available for purchase based on availability. Upon registering for the Cooking Class Event, guests should inform HOB Fine Foods of any allergies, dietary restrictions, and/or if they carry an EpiPen.
All guests need a proof of vaccination in order to attend any in-person event or class. Please do not book a cooking class event if you or your guests are unable to provide the required documents.
Cooking Class Events are non-refundable. If the class chosen is full, the guest will be informed as soon as possible and then placed on a waiting list. If a spot opens up, a representative from HOB Fine Foods will contact the individual and accept payment at that time.
Cooking Class Events may be cancelled if there are an insufficient number of registrants. HOB Fine Foods reserves the right to alter the dinner menu if necessary, as well, based on seasonal availability.
Cancellation
Guests can withdraw from their scheduled Cooking Class Events up to 72 hours in advance, and a credit for the amount will be issued onto a gift card or applied towards another Cooking Class Event. If under 72 hours of notice is provided, the guest will not be able to cancel, but may:
Send a substitute in their place
Be charged 100% of the Cooking Class Events fee
No Shows
If a guest fails to show for the Cooking Class Event, no credit is offered, and there will be no make-up Cooking Class Event offered.
Cooking Class Event Confirmations
Cooking Class Guests are responsible for remembering their scheduled Long Table Event date and time. If a guest would like to verify their spot or any of their registration information, they can call to speak with a representative from HOB Fine Foods.
COVID 19 PROTOCOLS
As new mandates are released, we continue to follow the latest health regulations to make sure we can keep our doors open and continue welcoming our guests in. With that said, there are going to be specific protocols in place for our upcoming cooking classes to
ensure the safety of our guests and our staff. The protocols are as follows:
All attendees and staff will be required to show proof of both vaccinations.
All attendees and staff will be required to wear face masks while cooking (these can be removed while actively eating/drinking).
All attendees and staff will be required to sanitize their hands before entry into our premise.
HOB FINE FOODS PUBLIC COOKING CLASS SCHEDULE
Coming to a cooking class at House of Boateng is just like watching a live cooking show! Learn tips and tricks from the best, including Chef Castro and renowned guest Chefs from around Vancouver Island.
The setting is casual and interactive, and guests will enjoy food prepared by the Chef throughout the event. The Chefs will often ask guests to assist with some preparation and asking questions throughout is highly encouraged!
